The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that the Federal Government has dropped all charges against Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance Holdings executive.
Recall that Tigran Gambaryan has been detained since the month of April for money laundering and operating an unlicensed financial institution.
Previously, the judge, Emeka Nwite has refused to grant bail to him because he might flee.
It was reported that the health of Gambaryan has deteriorated. The United States citizen and former IRS agent, Gambaryan was arrested during his visit to Nigeria to address regulatory concerns about Binance in February.
The prosection lawyer stated that Gambaryan was just an employee of Binance and he is not associated with the financial decisions of the company.
The defence lawyer, Mark Mordi and the Senior Advocate of Nigeria agreed with the view of the prosection lawyer.
US government has been making efforts to write to different authorities to intervene in the case.
