Esther Nwachukwu, a Nollywood actress, has publicly criticized her fellow actor Frederick Leonard for his actions or comments following the death of their colleague, Junior Pope.
Esther Nwachukwu criticized Frederick Leonard in a video on her Instagram page, saying he didn’t show support or condolences after Junior Pope’s death, despite Junior Pope attending his wedding. She accused him of being hypocritical and jealous, and claimed that he’s not the person people think he is. She expressed disappointment that he didn’t attend the funeral or publicly mourn Junior Pope’s passing.
“I am calling out Frederick Leonard. I want to know when Junior Pope was alive, he and his wife attended Frederick Leonard’s wedding with happiness. Now, Junior Pope is dead, Frederick didn’t attend his burial, nor did he sympathise with his family or post.
You see, Frederick Leonard isn’t who you all really think he is. That guy’s mind is filled with jealousy. As they saw that Junior Pope was outshining them, jealousy set in”.
Recall that, on July 1st, Esther Nwachukwu publicly criticized Jennifer Awele, the widow of Junior Pope, for attending a birthday party and working while still in mourning.
Esther believed Jennifer should be staying at home to grieve for a longer period, as people had already donated sufficient funds for her and her children’s support.
Going on, Junior Pope had passed away in a drowning accident on April 8th, while he was returning from a movie shot in Anam river, and was buried in May.
