Kazim Adeoti’s first wife, Funsho Adeoti, has addressed the public backlash that ensued after her earlier statement.
On Instagram, Funsho Adeoti emphasized the significance of gratitude, referencing scripture and encouraging everyone to cultivate a spirit of thankfulness in all situations, while also sharing her personal commitment to being thankful, even in challenging circumstances.
“1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.
Thankful in all circumstances, even when those circumstances are difficult.”
This post comes after Funsho Adeoti faced online criticism for sharing a Thanksgiving message just hours after her husband’s second wife, Mercy Aigbe, suffered a fire incident that damaged her property in Nigeria.
Despite the time difference between her US location and Nigeria, many criticized Funsho Adeoti’s Thanksgiving post as insensitive, given Mercy Aigbe’s recent property loss.
However, others defended her, pointing out that she regularly expresses gratitude on her Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Mercy Aigbe had taken to social media to thank her supporters for their well-wishes after suffering the multimillion-naira property loss.
