Famous Ghanaian social media personality, Shatta Bandle, has apologized to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for his act of throwing Nigerian currency notes in Nigeria.
This incident occurred after he had a run-in with the EFCC due to his public exhibition of the Nigerian currency during his visit to the country for the funeral of Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu.
The act of the famous personality throwing naira notes in a widely shared video online drew the authorities’ notice.
Shatta Bandle, who has returned to Ghana, has apologized to the authorities and Nigerians, referring to Nigeria as his second home.
Shatta Bandle expressed his admiration for the EFCC and the laws of Nigeria while explaining the motive behind his actions.
