Quddus King, is a Nigerian record producer, sound engineer, rapper, and songwriter. He studied Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute in London.
His love for music began when he visited Fela Kuti’s shrine as a child, and he was raised in a lively musical environment, inspired by his parents’ relationships with popular artists.
CAREER
GMK, which stands for Grand Master King, started his musical career as a rapper on SoundCloud in 2013.
He gained attention with his track “Sounds Of The Future,” featuring Cruel Santino (Ozzy B) and Yung from the L.O.S group.
In April 2016, GMK released his EP “Long Live the King” exclusively on SoundCloud, which included collaborations with artists like Odunsi (The Engine) and Cruel Santino. The project was well-received, with critics highlighting GMK’s storytelling skills.
