Reports have it that Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary was attacked by gunmen on Sunday.
This incident occurred in Ivhianokpodi, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary was created in the year,2006 by Most Reverend Gabriel Dunia.
It started when the priests and seminarians went for their evening prayers and benediction around 7pm.
In a statement issued by the Director of Communications for the Catholic Diocese of Auchi, Reverend Father Peter Egielewa, stated that Reverend Father Thomas Oyode, the Rector of the seminary was kidnapped during the attack.
He further noted that the vice rector and other seminarians were all safe except Reverend Father Oyode. He added that they have not heard any news concerning the abducted Reverend Father and there are rising concerns about his well-being.
