Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian clergyman in the UK, faces deportation after losing a court case over alleged financial irregularities.
The founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church SPAC Nation was found to have misused church funds totaling £1.87 million.
Investigations revealed that the clergyman was unable to provide a proper account for over £1.87 million in expenditures and conducted his financial dealings with a lack of transparency.
An immigration tribunal subsequently ruled that the clergyman, who had been residing unlawfully in the UK since overstaying his visitor’s visa in 2005, is to be deported to Nigeria.
The trending news has sparked a flurry of reactions from social media users.
