Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of Tigran, a Binance executive detained in Nigeria, has made a heartfelt appeal to the federal government to release her husband due to his deteriorating health. In a statement, Yuki expressed concern that Tigran’s condition is worsening and requires urgent medical attention, including specialized surgery for a herniated disc in his back.
Tigran’s health issues have been ongoing, with him collapsing in court on May 23 and his legal team warning that he could die in prison if his health continues to decline. Despite court orders, the prison management has failed to release Tigran’s medical records, and his legal team has been blocked from visiting him since July 26.
Yuki highlighted the severity of Tigran’s condition, including recurring throat infections, pneumonia, and the need for tonsil removal surgery. She emphasized that the prison’s refusal to release his medical records is exacerbating the situation.
Yuki’s emotional appeal also shared the impact of Tigran’s detention on their family, including their young children who are struggling to cope with his absence. She begged the Nigerian government to release Tigran so he can receive the medical treatment he desperately needs, saying “life is becoming harder and harder every day” without him.
The case has been adjourned to October 11 and 18 for continuation of the trial.
