His creative abilities will be missed in energy industry’ — Dan Kunle mourns Ifeanyi Ubah

Date:

Dan Kunle, a renowned energy expert, remarked on the significant contributions of Ifeanyi Ubah, a former senator representing Anambra South, to the oil and gas industry. Ubah, who served as the CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, passed away in London on July 26.

Ubah, also a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), joined the party in October 2023 after leaving the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

In a statement released on Monday, Kunle, a former special adviser to the minister of petroleum resources (2006-2009), praised Ubah’s innovative spirit and impactful contributions to the industry.

“We have lost a remarkable individual, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a courageous and creative businessman who brought significant values to the oil and gas sector,” Kunle said. “His family, friends, and the nation will deeply miss his ingenuity and contributions.”

Kunle extended his condolences, saying, “May our Creator grant us and his family the strength to bear this immense loss. Capital Oil, Ubah’s pioneering venture in tank farm investment, greatly expanded Nigeria’s storage capacity for petroleum products.”

He concluded by honoring Ubah’s legacy, “May his legacy endure, and may his wonderful wife and children be supported by God’s grace. Rest in peace, dear Aburo Sen Ifeanyi Ubah.”

Kunle also shared a personal note, saying he would miss Ubah’s “warm laughter and the way he fondly called me, Oga Dan Kunle.”
