On Thursday, the House of Representatives went into marathon executive session which commenced from 11am.
The session began its legislative day from 11am and it is still ongoing showing how serious the nature of the matter is.
According to the reports, the executive session might be connected with the Tax Reform Bills proposed by President Tinubu.
Though, the bills were not listed among today’s agenda but sources indicated that it might be listed in the supplementary Order Paper.
The issue of the Tax Reform Bills which will be listed on the second reading of the lawmakers have been generating attention.
On Wednesday, the Senate leadership refused to agree with the opposing team of Senator Ali Ndume (APC, Borno) and Abdul Ningi (PDP, Bauchi) who did allow President Tinubu’s team to come into the chamber and explain the tax bills.
Before President Tinubu’s officials were allowed to enter the chamber, there was a strong disagreement and tension.
Former Leader of the House and chairman of Northern Caucus, Alhassan Ado Doguwa has warned the members of the House not to be in a haste to pass the Tax Reform Bills.
