The House of Representatives has issued warning to Federal Capital Territory Police Force to stop harassing motorists and seizing their vehicles of the tinted windows.
On Tuesday, December 10, the warning was issued by the House of Representatives.
The House noted that the harassment of motorists due to the tinted windows or covered plate numbers has to stop.
They asked the police to announce 90-days period of grace, to allow the motorists adjust to their rules and regulations.
The resolution was tabled by Muktar Shagaya on the floor of the plenary on Tuesday which the House agreed to it.
Shagaya stated that the police did not give enough time to the motorists to adhere to the new ban of vehicles with tinted windows and covered plate numbers.
The House directed the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture work together with the different stakeholders to create a public awareness to enlighten the public.
Green Chamber agreed to the motion which was later referred to House Committee on Police Affairs and Legislative Compliance for compliance.
