“How do we cushion the effects of inflation?” – Actor Saidi Balogun cries out over economic hardship

Date:

Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has expressed his concern about the economic hardship and dire situation in Nigeria.

On his Instagram page, he wondered if the country has a functional price control or regulatory agency to address the escalating costs of living.

He also asked how the government plans to mitigate the effects of inflation, emphasizing that the situation is becoming unbearable.

“Do we have a functional price control or piece regulatory agency in Nigeria?

How do we cushion the effects of inflation?

Because things are getting out of hand”.

Moreso, Lizzy Gold recently expressed concern about Nigeria’s economic situation, highlighting the surge in petrol prices to N1000 per liter and the skyrocketing cost of foodstuffs.

She questioned how people were coping and appealed to the President to take action, citing widespread hunger, insecurity, and kidnappings.

In contrast, Destiny Etiko and Paulo Okoye praised Nigerians for their resilience and patience amidst the economic hardship.

They noted how Nigerians continue to face each day with optimism and determination, earning them the title of the most patient country in the world.

However, Paulo Okoye also criticized the government for taking advantage of Nigerians’ patience.
