Nigerian crossdresser James Brown has paid tribute to his fellow crossdresser, Area Mama, who was found dead in Abuja on Thursday.
Area Mama’s lifeless body was discovered along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway, with videos of the scene circulating online.
The FCT Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding Area Mama’s death, as ordered by Commissioner of Police CP Benneth Igweh.
James Brown and others in the crossdressing community are mourning the loss of Area Mama, who was also known as “Abuja Area Mama”.
James Brown took to his Instagram story to pay tribute to Area Mama, despite never having met him.
He reflected on how people often judge others harshly for their sins, simply because they express themselves differently.
James Brown’s message suggests that he believes people should be more accepting and less critical of others’ choices, even if they don’t align with their own.
“RIP. I didn’t get to meet him.
Sinners mad at sinners cos they sin differently”.
The “Duchess of London”, revealed last year that he crossdresses because it’s lucrative and can bring wealth if done smartly. He offered to guide others interested in exploring this path.
However, he also shared the challenges he faces, admitting that transitioning hasn’t been easy and sometimes makes him feel different from his past self.
He even mentioned that he no longer urinates as a man. In a recent public service announcement, James Brown asked people to refrain from discussing him or his personality, as he focuses on entertaining fans to provide an escape from Nigeria’s and the world’s troubles.
He appreciated the interest but set boundaries, reminding everyone to respect his privacy and focus on their own lives.
