Stella Maris, the wife of the late Nollywood actor John Okafor, who was popularly known as Mr Ibu, has spoken publicly for the first time since his passing.

The wife of the actor, during an interview with the media, expressed her deep sadness and cried on Father’s Day as she remembered her deceased husband.

She also stated that the Nollywood industry has been a source of support for her and her children after their passing, treating them kindly.

“On Father’s Day, I felt so bad and was shedding tears when I remembered my husband. The Nollywood actors have been supporting me and my children since he passed away. They have been good to us.”

Jewel Derabii commented, “Gold digger”.

One, Lisa Fab12 commented, “But you refuse to work and now he is no more. What will you do?

Another person, Shimmer And Shine91 commented, “Lol. These people didn’t take care of him though. It is well”.

And, Ajakaiye005 commented, “Na person wey die lose”.

In March, it was reported that the experienced actor, who had been fighting for his life for several months, had passed away.

A healthcare worker was the one who revealed the news, stating that the actor had taken his last breath.

Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, later confirmed the news and disclosed that the actor died from Cardiac Arrest.

His death deeply saddened the industry as he was loved by many and had created cherished memories from our childhood.

It should be noted that in October of the previous year, Mr Ibu had reached out to the public for assistance as he battled an illness.

Prominent personality in the music industry such as Davido and P-Square, as well as popular personality Tunde Ednut and former senate president Bukola Saraki, came to his aid.

The actor underwent seven successful surgeries and had his leg amputated twice.

However, his health eventually worsened, leading to the loss of his voice. In January, he was discharged from the hospital, bringing joy to his fans and admirers.

Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived as he passed away two months later.
