Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has responded to allegations of being a cult member after a Twitter user, Cult Wahala Naija, shared a video of him at a party, claiming he’s a high-ranking member of the Eiye cult group.
The Twitter user also made a sweeping statement that almost everyone in the SouthWest region is involved with the cult. Seyi Law has denied the accusations, pushing back against the claims made by the Twitter user.
“So @seyilaw1 na supreme Eiye member.
Almost everybody na Eiye for SouthWest”.
Seyi Law responded to the accusations by saying that he hopes Nigerians would not recognize it as an abuse of power if he were to arrest the Twitter user who made the false claims about him being a cult member.
“I hope that when I take action now, people won’t call it oppression”.

Seyi Law had previously addressed a controversy where a Twitter user shared a video of him obtaining a woman’s phone number on a public bus, accusing him of inappropriate behavior.
Seyi Law clarified that the woman was actually a friend, and jokingly said the tweep was envious that it wasn’t her own number being shared.
In more positive news, Seyi Law was recently appointed as the Senior Special Adviser on Entertainment and Tourism to the Governor of Osun State, Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
He expressed gratitude to the governor and prayed for divine guidance to help him support the governor’s vision for the state.
