Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has chimed in on the renewed public feud between Davido and Wizkid.
Wizkid took a subtle swipe at Davido while announcing his new single on Monday night, responding to a critic who asked if he needed to diss Davido to promote his music.
Wizkid fired back with a harsh response, asserting that he doesn’t engage in feuds with inferior artists, labeling Davido as untalented and giving him a derogatory nickname, “Frigodo”. Wizkid confidently claimed that no one can tarnish his reputation, now or ever.
Wizkid continued his verbal attack, tweeting that Davido’s emotional well-being would suffer, after a fan showed concern for Davido’s feelings. Additionally, Wizkid targeted Tunde Ednut, a friend of Davido’s, with hurtful language, using an ableist slur to describe him.
Nkechi Blessing chimed in on Davido’s recent post, promoting his music video collaboration with Angelique Kidjo, and took a subtle swipe at Wizkid in the comments section, seemingly siding with Davido in their ongoing feud.
She wrote: “The only thing we are focused on”,
Nkechi Blessing’s comment sparked backlash from Wizkid’s fans, who criticized her for taking sides. In response, Nkechi issued a stern warning, threatening to track down and confront her online detractors in person, sparking further controversy and concern.

Following Wizkid and Davido’s April fallout, Nkechi Blessing expressed skepticism, suggesting that the feud was a publicity stunt to generate buzz, and predicted that the two artists would soon collaborate on a hit song.
Davido clarified in Nkechi Blessing’s comment section that he has no upcoming collaboration with Wizkid, emphasizing that he already has numerous hit songs. He then confidently challenged Wizkid to release a song on the same day as him, implying that Wizkid lacks his level of musical success.
Nkechi Blessing’s support for Davido comes as no surprise, given her well-known admiration and loyalty to the singer as a devoted fan.
Going on, Nkechi Blessing, was also a fortunate invitee to Davido and Chioma’s wedding in June, enthusiastically shared photos of her attire on Instagram, dubbing it the “Wedding of the Year.” She also revealed her special connection to the groom, proudly stating that when Davido called, she answered, highlighting her close relationship with the music star.
Davido showed appreciation for Nkechi’s unwavering support by giving her his family name, as she was officially renamed “Nkechi Adeleke” in a ceremony attended by Osun State Governor and Davido at B-Red’s birthday party.
