“if your marriage is worth it, fight for your home”-Tonto Dikeh says as she shares advice she gave to a single mother

Date:

Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress, seemingly targeted her ex-husband Olakunle Churchill with a veiled jab as she shared words of wisdom with a fellow single mother.

A single mother, who is facing a similar situation, reached out to Tonto Dikeh privately, seeking advice on how to move forward after her ex-partner left her and their child.

The woman, who referred to herself as a “nobody” striving to become “somebody”, asked Tonto to share her coping strategies and guidance, given Tonto’s own experiences as a single mother after her split from Olakunle Churchill.

“Good morning ma, please ma, I have a question. How were u able to cope when u and ur ex-husband left u with your child? If there is any advice am ready to learn. I am a nobody aiming to be somebody soon”.

Tonto Dikeh responded by clarifying that she was the one who ended the marriage to protect herself and her son, calling it the best decision she ever made. She then empowered the woman, reminding her that she has the inner strength to become the person she desires to be, as long as she dedicates herself to personal growth and self-investment.

“Good morning,

First and foremost, I was the one who chose to walk away from my marriage, not the other way around. I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just got my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made.

Remember, you have the power to become the person you aspire to be, as long as you commit to your growth and invest in yourself. Prioritize the well-being of your children while seeking guidance and strength from God. Sometimes the end of the road is the beginning of your blessings, but please, if your marriage is worth it, fight for your home.

Take care”.

Tonto Dikeh shared the exchange on Instagram, addressing single mothers with a heartfelt message. She humbly admitted that she doesn’t have all the answers or expertise, but has learned from her experiences, guided by love and faith. She credited God as her source of strength, trusting in His guidance and wisdom to navigate life’s challenges.

“I’m no expert, but I’ve learned to trust in God’s plan and draw strength from Him. Love is my guiding force,” she wrote.

“Dear single mothers,

I don’t have a manual for these things.

I am neither a pro in this movement.

My biggest teacher has been LOVE.

I just let God do his thing, and his thing is enough for me.

Draw strength from God, most especially keep your family matters private”.

Tonto Dikeh’s marriage to businessman Olakunle Churchill in 2015 ended in a tumultuous divorce in 2017, marred by allegations of infidelity and domestic violence.

Olakunle has since remarried, tying the knot with actress Rosy Meurer, who was rumored to be his mistress during his previous marriage. He and Rosy have started a new family, welcoming two children, a son and a daughter.

Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill continue to engage in a bitter public feud on social media, despite their divorce.

Tonto has repeatedly accused Churchill of being a deadbeat father, citing his alleged lack of involvement in their son’s life.

Last year, on their son’s 7th birthday, the exchange escalated, with Tonto criticizing Churchill for only acknowledging their son on his birthday.

Churchill retaliated by sharing an audio recording of Tonto and her ex-boyfriend, Kpokpogri, allegedly conspiring to deny him access to their son.

He claimed Tonto has consistently restricted his access and attempted to frustrate him into giving up his parental rights. Nevertheless, Churchill still publicly acknowledged their son’s 8th birthday, expressing his love and gratitude for him.
