Nigerian artist Victony has disclosed that he is currently attempting to comprehend the true essence of being in love with another person.
The 23-year-old made an appearance on the most recent episode of the Is This Seat Taken podcast, which is hosted by Chinasa Anukam.
During his time on the show, he discussed his music, cherished memories from his childhood, and his personal exploration of love.
Chinasa asked, “Have you ever been in love? What is love to you?”
Victony admitted that he is still struggling to comprehend the idea of love and has not yet grasped its true meaning.
He said, “I’m a young man; I’m figuring it out. I’m still trying to know what it means; I’ll put it that way. ‘ What does love mean? What does it mean to be in love? I’m still asking myself those questions. So when I’m with a girl, I ask myself, ‘Am I in love or not?”.
Chinasa asked, “When was the last time you kissed someone?”.
The singer started laughing before answering; “You’re intruding into my privacy. I have not kissed anyone this year, so maybe last year in December.”
she asked; “As a Nigerian man who lives in Lagos and predominantly makes love songs, how often are you lying in your music?”.
Victony replied, “With the love songs?? Not too often; I don’t even lie because every time I make a love song, that’s how I feel in that moment toward someone. I may feel different the next day because I don’t know if it’s love or not.”
