I’m still trying to figure out what being in love means – Victony

Date:

Nigerian singer Victony has openly shared that he is still navigating the concept of romantic love and trying to understand what it truly means to be in love with someone.

This honest admission suggests that despite his success in the music industry, he is still learning and growing in his personal life, and perhaps even drawing inspiration from his experiences for his music.

Victony, at just 23 years old, joined Chinasa Anukam on the “Is This Seat Taken podcast” sharing insights into his music, cherished childhood moments, and his ongoing exploration of love.

The podcast episode offered a unique opportunity for the young singer to open up about his creative process, personal growth, and experiences, providing fans with a more intimate understanding of his artistry and perspective.

Chinasa asked, “Have you ever been in love? What is love to you?”

Victony’s response highlighted his vulnerability and self-awareness, as he admitted that he is still struggling to comprehend the complex emotions and dynamics of love.

Despite his young age and growing success, he openly acknowledged that he has not yet grasped the true meaning of love, showcasing his humility and willingness to learn and grow.

This honest admission resonated with many, as understanding love can be a lifelong journey for many individuals.

He said, “I’m a young man; I’m figuring it out. I’m still trying to know what it means; I’ll put it that way. ‘ What does love mean? What does it mean to be in love? I’m still asking myself those questions. So when I’m with a girl, I ask myself, ‘Am I in love or not?'”

When Chinasa asked, “When was the last time you kissed someone?” the singer burst into a fit of laughter before responding, “You’re intruding into my privacy. I have not kissed anyone this year, so maybe last year in December.”

“As a Nigerian man who lives in Lagos and predominantly makes love songs, how often are you lying in your music?” she asked.

Victony replied, “With the love songs?? Not too often; I don’t even lie because every time I make a love song, that’s how I feel in that moment toward someone. I may feel different the next day because I don’t know if it’s love or not.”
