Charly Boy, a nonconformist performer also known as Charles Oputa, has praised the Southeast governors for expressing strong concern about the imprisonment of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Charly Boy emphasized that the unfair treatment is becoming increasingly unacceptable.
The entertainer wrote: “I just thank God say south east governors don dey vibrate on top of Mazi Nnamdi Kalu matter. Infact, belle sweet me, the injustice is becoming unbecoming. Thunder fire any “Sabo” for dis matter. AreaFada.”
The Southeast governors have made arrangements to meet with President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday to discuss the importance of granting Kanu his freedom.
Additionally, the Southeast Senators appealed to Tinubu on Wednesday, requesting him to release the detained Biafran agitator.
Fifteen senators, led by former Abia State Deputy Governor Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, stated that if Kanu is not released, the South East region will experience a lack of progress in both social and economic activities.
This appeal was made during a private meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi.
