‘It’s insulting to say I’m not on same level with Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy’ – Rema

Date:

Popular Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has expressed his displeasure at the notion that he is not on par with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, considering it as an offensive statement.

In his new song ‘Hehehe,’ released by Mavin Global Holdings on Monday morning, the singer responded to the criticism he received for his controversial tweet by saying, “There is now a Big 4, no longer just the Big 3.”

Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido are highly recognized as the most prominent Nigerian/Afrobeats artists globally, and they are commonly known as the “Big 3.”

However, Rema has been persistently claiming that he has now achieved the status of a megastar in the Afrobeats genre, placing himself among the top four artists.

He said: “No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People go para but what for? Dem go say I don’t deserve it but that is an insult.”
