In February 2023, he achieved a remarkable feat by breaking the record for the highest number of subscribers on Twitch during a subathon, surpassing Ludwig Ahgren.

Growing up in a diverse family, Cenat’s upbringing was shaped by his Trinidadian and Haitian background.

He was raised alongside his mother and siblings, including his twin sister Kaiya, older brother Devonte, and younger brother Kaleel.

Despite facing various challenges, Cenat made the decision to drop out of college in 2020 in order to focus on creating content.

Cenat began his YouTube journey on January 13, 2018, primarily creating prank and challenge videos.

Through a connection with Fanum, he became a part of the YouTube group AMP and started appearing in their content.

In February 2021, Cenat made the transition to Twitch, where he streamed gaming and reaction videos.

In 2022, Cenat achieved significant success by featuring celebrity guests such as Bobby Shmurda, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage, resulting in a peak viewership of 283,245.

He also released his debut single with NLE Choppa in May 2022 and made an appearance in the trailer for Polo G’s single “Distraction.”

PERSONAL LIFE

In August 2023, a giveaway event in Union Square with Twitch streamer Fanum turned chaotic, resulting in a riot and Cenat’s arrest by the NYPD.

He was charged with inciting civil unrest, rioting, and unlawful assembly.

However, in May 2024, the charges were dropped for Cenat and two others after he offered an apology and paid $57,000 in restitution.
