Kano State Government has donated the sum of N100,000,000 to help the affected victims involved in the Jigawa petrol tanker explosion.
Recall that this incident occurred in Majia, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The donation was announced by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Thursday during his visit to Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi at the Government House in Dutse.
According to the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf noted that the donation was meant for the bereaved families and the injured victims. He also mentioned the strong connection between Kano and Jigawa States.
The governor further extended his condolences to the bereaved families and the injured victims in the hospital.
Reacting to this action, Governor Umar appreciated the governor for his good deeds towards the people of Jigawa State at this time of crisis.
He also promised the governor that the funds will be used to take good care of the victims involved in the explosion.
