Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has vowed to fight against corruption in his state.
Due to the transparency and accountability crusade launched by his administration, he promised to ensure that the implementation of the new minimum wage will be enforced.
He made this statement in a stakeholders meeting while receiving the executive members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa stated that the present administration have blocked all sources of corruption in the state to ensure that rules are obeyed.
He noted the implementation of the new minimum wage was not easy specifically when considering amount of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and the additional of over N6 billion monthly.
The governor have vowed to provide for the citizens to create a sustainable environment for them.
