Talent manager Ubi Franklin recently discussed his emotions towards his former wife and the mother of his child, Lilian Esoro.
During a Q&A session on Instagram, he openly expressed that he still has love for Lilian due to their shared parenthood.
A fan wrote, “Are you still in love with your son’s mom, the most beautiful Lillian?”.
He replied, “We have a son together, and love will always live there”.
Another fan asked if he had any hope of remarrying, and he said yes.
A third fan asked, “When are you getting married again or maybe to your formal wife. I like una two together, I swear”.
He replied, “Make una find me wife na. Application portal is open now”.
During Davido’s wedding, Ubi Franklin and Lillian Esoro had a brief interaction where they exchanged pleasantries.
In a video that went viral, Lilian was seen entering the wedding hall while Ubi Franklin recorded her and praised her.
They shared a moment before Lilian went inside. Ubi affectionately referred to Lilian as his baby in front of everyone.
It is worth noting that Lilian and Ubi Franklin got married in 2015 but separated a year later after their son was born.
Lilian initially filed for divorce in a Lagos High Court, but her request was denied.
Ubi then filed in Abuja, and after a lengthy legal process, their marriage was officially dissolved on January 28th, 2021.
Ubi took to Instagram to discuss their divorce in a mature manner, stating that when two people stay together without love, it leads to grudges, resentment, hate, and a general dislike for each other.
Lilian also spoke about her divorce, revealing that their marriage had been unstable since their engagement.
Despite being advised against going through with the wedding, she has no regrets because their son is the result of their union.
She admitted that the divorce took a toll on her mental health, leading her to experience depression and seek professional help.
