Many hospitalized in Abia State following the free medical outreach

It has been confirmed that so many people have been hospitalized because of the free medical care in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

It was confirmed by the state’s Commissioner for Health, Ogbonnaya Uche, in a statement released on Monday in Umuahia.

He noted that many people were hospitalized as a result of the reactions to certain medications.

He stated that the healthcare workers are working hard to ensure that the patients recover from the reactions.

The commissioner said, “The ministry is deeply concerned by the consequences of unauthorised outreach. Residents should exercise caution regarding organisers of unapproved healthcare events.”

He further explained that the organisers of the outreach have failed get approvals from the authorities which might attract prosecution.

He noted that those interested to work with the health sector should seek for the necessary approvals from the authorities.
