EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Mercy Eke, a native of Owerri, Imo State in the southeastern region of Nigeria, was born and raised in this area alongside her family.
She attended Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri for her secondary education and obtained her degree from Imo State University in 2014.
CAREER
Before participating in Big Brother Naija, she appeared as a model in music videos such as Davido and Ichaba’s “Baby Mama” and Airboy’s “Nawo Nawo”.
Interestingly, Eke tried out for Big Brother Naija four times before finally getting selected as a contestant.
She entered the Big Brother Naija house on June 30, 2019, and in October 2019, Eke became the first female winner of the show.
After winning Season 4, she took on roles as a brand ambassador and influencer for various organizations. 
In 2020, Eke made her first appearance as an actress in the Nollywood movie “Fate of Alakada.” Apart from acting, she has also appeared in comedic skits with Nigerian comedians.
Additionally, she notably took part in Big Brother Naija All Star in July 2023.

Mercy Eke disclosed that her first romantic involvement was with her father’s tenant.
Despite being a sought-after individual in the BBNaija house, she only found herself drawn to Ike Onyema.
Regrettably, the relationship between Ike Onyema and Mercy Eke turned sour when Ike admitted that he would prioritize the 60 million naira cash prize over his relationship with Mercy Eke.
In addition, Mercy Eke announced on November 3, 2020 that she and Ike Onyema are no longer together.
Instead, she revealed that she is married to a man referred to as Mr. H. There were also speculations about her being romantically involved with Tana, a Nigerian artist based in the United States.
