Reports have it that there was a fire incident at Alaba Rago (Ram) Market in the Ojo area of Lagos State on Wednesday morning.
The fire started around midnight and destroyed goods worth millions of naira. The exact cause of the fire outbreak have not been discovered yet but investigations are currently ongoing.
The fire spread round the shops of people burning and destroying their goods and properties worth millions.
Agencies such as Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), and others arrived at the scene to put a stop to the fire which they tried all their best to control it.
The Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Femi Oke-Osayintolu and Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, reassured the public that the fire will be controlled to avoid further damage.
