Thereafter, several attempts to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, has been going on, also the cause remained unclear for about nine months.

However, a toxicology report eventually revealed the presence of Diphenhydramine and anti-histamine in his system, shedding new light on the mystery and suggesting a possible overdose or adverse reaction to medication.

Meanwhile, During an interview, Mohbad’s father explained that he chose to bury his son shortly after his passing due to cultural and traditional obligations, emphasizing that it was a necessary step in accordance with their customs and beliefs.

Mohbad’s father also revealed that he requested a DNA test for Liam, Wunmi’s son, due to a concerning statement made by one of Mohbad’s friends, which led him to question the child’s paternity and seek clarity through a DNA test.

Despite attempts to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death, the results have been inconclusive. According to Prof. Abiodun Osiyemi, a forensic scientist and pathologist from LASUTH, the autopsy report failed to provide a definitive answer, leaving the exact cause of the popular Nigerian singer’s death still unknown.

Prof. Osiyemi explained to Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, the coroner, that the autopsy report was inconclusive due to two main factors: the advanced state of decomposition of Mohbad’s body and the medications he received prior to his death, which complicated the investigation and made it difficult to determine the exact cause of death.
