Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, expressed his disappointment that the money he and his wife, Chioma, received after their wedding did not match the amount of money that was showered on them during the event.
Naija traffic stated that people from various backgrounds attended Davido’s extravagant wedding on June 25, 2024, and many of them showered dollar bills as a result of Nigeria’s laws against defacing the Naira currency.
In response to a video showing guests spraying money at his wedding, Davido commented that the amount of money sprayed during the event did not match the total amount he and his wife received.
He wrote, “The video of all the money dem spray is and wetin we carry go house no dey tally.”
Internet users appeared to find Davido’s situation amusing, as they made jokes about it rather than showing empathy.
