‘My ex-wife is somewhere doing hers’– Do2dtun calls out Nigerians

Date:

Nigerian radio host Do2dtun has come to the defense of media personality Daddy Freeze, who used to work with him at Cool FM, regarding the recent N5 million fine imposed on him for adultery.

Naija traffic reported that after three years of legal proceedings, a three-person panel of judges, including Justice Abubakar Talba, Danlami Senchi, and Hannatu Balogun, dismissed Daddy Freeze’s appeal due to lack of merit and upheld his N5 million fine for adultery.

Daddy Freeze, a media personality, was taken to court by his wife’s ex-husband for adultery and has been ordered to pay him N5 million as compensation.

Earlier, Do2dtun defended Daddy Freeze on Twitter, stating that people judge him based on their perception of him rather than knowing him personally.

He expressed concern that Daddy Freeze may struggle to find love again after going through such a situation, but was relieved to see that he had found love with his current wife.

Daddy Freeze, surprised by Do2dtun’s support, shared it on his Instagram page and questioned why he was only seeing it now.

He revealed that Do2dtun knew his story well, as they were colleagues, neighbors, and brothers.

In the comments section, Do2dtun slammed Nigerians for their hypocrisy, pointing out that the situation would have been different if the man involved had moved on.

He used his own divorce case as an example, stating that it is still ongoing and questioning whether people expect him not to move on when he is certain that his ex-wife has moved on with someone else.

“Freeze, you really get time, and I have read so many stuff, and it’s baffling. Wait, so as I dey like this now, wey court hasn’t decided anything for over 3 years, the person abandoned the case, disappeared, very póor system just as what happened in Freeze’s case and the person I marry have agreed to go with the divorce and doing him or her. Me and am not do again, carry pikin run, make I no move on with my life? We all are hypocrites in this country. These two hooked up after everything was already in court, and it’s okay to find love again. So, if it was a single lady supposed not going through a divorce, what would you say? You will say she committed what? It’s normal when it’s a man, abi? But not normal cos the two were married before? So, my ex-wife, for example, is somewhere doing her, but I should not cos the case is in court? Ori gbo gbo yin ti gbale”.

In 2021, a High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, ruled that Daddy Freeze must pay N5 million for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi.

The money is to be paid to Paul Odekina, who was married to Elechi at the time of the adulterous act.

Daddy Freeze was unhappy with the court’s decision and appealed to a higher court.

His main argument was that Odekina did not personally serve him before applying for substituted service, which goes against the rules of the Trial Court.

Daddy Freeze responded to the ruling in an Instagram live video, stating that he has no problem paying the fine because his watches alone are worth over N100 million.

However, he maintains his innocence and believes he will not lose the case.

He explained that the incident occurred years ago when he and the lady were both going through difficult times, and they reconnected later in Church.
