Seyi Awolowo, a former participant of the Big Brother Naija reality show, has shared the challenges he faced during his upbringing.
In an interview with well-known media figure Chude Jideonwo, the reality TV star revealed that his father had disowned him multiple times.
Discussing his challenging childhood in a polygamous setting, the grandson of the late Obafemi Awolowo stated that his father maintained extensive records on each of his children.
He said, “My father disowned me a couple of times. Not just me, a couple of us because my father married three wives. My father wrote letters to cut off his children, reducing our identities to mere names on a list. We all have files. ‘As of right now, your name is just Seyi, full stop”.
