Recall that Mohbad, a former artist on Naira Marley’s record label, was seen being bullied by his former boss and associates in videos that circulated after his death.

Many people, including Mohbad’s father, have been demanding a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, following the singer’s death.

Omowunmi has refused to do a DNA test, stating that no one has the right to tell her to do so.

In April, Omowunmi was served a court order for a DNA test after the Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu granted the request. Mohbad’s father’s legal team had attempted to serve her the court documents twice before, but failed, leading the Chief Magistrate to order that the documents be posted on her last known address, which was done by pasting them on her house gate.

On her birthday in April, Omowunmi asked Nigerians to celebrate her late husband instead of her, as it was her first birthday without him.

Omowunmi fondly remembered Mohbad as not just her husband, but also her best friend, confidant, and gist partner, among other things.

She revealed that the best birthday gift Mohbad gave her before his death was their son, Liam.
