Nollywood actor Francis Duru is receiving an outpouring of support from his colleagues and fans after announcing the tragic death of his 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Duru described his son as a fierce and courageous individual, comparing him to a lion.

He expressed acceptance of God’s will, while also struggling to come to terms with the loss. Duru promised to always love and miss his son, whom he affectionately called his “champ”.

The news has sparked an influx of condolences and sympathies from the Nollywood community, with many offering words of comfort and support during this difficult time.

Benedict Johnson wrote, “Oh my God, so sorry, my brother. This is sad to hear

Melvin Oduah wrote, “My condolences

Betty Irabor wrote, “Oh no. My condolences

Ushbebe wrote, “Condolences

Precious Chikwendu wrote, “God console you and your family. Nothing hurts like a parent losing a child. My heart breaks

Chiwetalu Agu wrote, “My condolences to you and your family, my brother

Ngozi Ezeonu wrote, “Chai. My condolences”.

Moreso, Comedian Aphrican Ace and his wife also mourned the loss of their premature newborn son, who passed away on August 1st due to complications from a bacterial infection.

Despite initial hopes for his recovery, their joy was short-lived, and they are now dealing with the pain of planning a funeral instead of welcoming their son home.

This tragic event follows another recent loss in the entertainment industry, where skit maker Akika (Olagunju Solomon Olamide) lost his son on Father’s Day last year.

Both cases highlight the unexpected nature of life and the devastating impact of losing a child.
