Hashimu Dungurawa, the chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, recently announced the party’s intention to nominate former Governor Musa Kwankwaso as their presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 election. This declaration was made during a press interaction in Kano.
During a media interaction in Kano, Hashimu Dungurawa, the chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, expressed his strong confidence in Musa Kwankwaso as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
Dungurawa emphasized that Kwankwaso is the most qualified and experienced person within the party to successfully compete for the presidency.
He said, “We believe Kwankwaso stands the best chance of becoming the next President.”
In addition, the chairman seized the opportunity to condemn former Governor Umar Ganduje’s treatment of retirees, alleging that he had neglected them, leading them to endure a life of poverty and hardship.
Dungurawa made a strong allegation, accusing Ganduje’s government of engaging in illegal practices by deducting an astonishing amount of over N5.4 billion from retirees’ pensions throughout his eight-year tenure.
In contrast, Dungurawa praised the NNPP government for their impressive achievements in education, agriculture, and employment.
He particularly applauded Governor Abba Yusuf for his exceptional efforts and contributions in these areas, highlighting his commendable work and achievements.
