Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has emphasized his commitment to attracting investments, both from within the country and abroad, to strengthen the state’s economy. While speaking at the inauguration of Sunshine House in Victoria Island, Lagos, he stated that the government would introduce incentives to encourage investors. The project, overseen by the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), was initiated by the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and successfully completed during Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, according to his spokesperson Ebenezer Adeniyan, kept his word to continue the work of the late Akeredolu. He praised Akeredolu as someone with good ideas and integrity. The old outdated structure couldn’t attract investors, so the state government, led by ONDIPA, built a modern building to show progress. Aiyedatiwa also stressed the state’s dedication to improving infrastructure and supporting businesses for industrial growth.
The CEO of ONDIPA, Gbenga Badejo, praised the project as a symbol of progress and a way for the state to generate income. He appreciated the state government for their vision and commitment to creating a business-friendly environment. The project, worth approximately N3.3 billion, includes a new seven-story office building with amenities like kitchenettes, a terrace, reception area, gate house, generator house, and waste management system. The project developer, Akintola Oladejo, confirmed that the project is strong and beneficial for its users.
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Adeniyi Adebayo, praised the progress made during his tenure in goodwill message and expressed his wish to bring similar advancements to Ekiti. He commended Aiyedatiwa for carrying on the projects initiated by the late Akeredolu.
