Paulo Okoye has criticized Deji Adeyanju for involving Burna Boy in the controversy surrounding Speed Darlington’s arrest.
Deji Adeyanju accused Burna Boy of hypocrisy for singing about activism, inspired by Fela Kuti, while allegedly oppressing others.
Now Paulo Okoye is defending Burna Boy, labeling Deji Adeyanju a “social media lawyer” who has no right to tarnish the singer’s reputation.
Paulo Okoye told Deji Adeyanju to verify his facts, control his client, and show respect to Burna Boy’s name.
“Deji Adeyanju or whatever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name.
Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?? Smh
You are nothing more than a social media lawyer. Lawyer my a$$$.
Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth. Control your client.”
The controversy began when Speed Darlington implicated Burna Boy in a connection with P. Diddy, who is currently in US custody.
Speed Darlington claimed that after he took a photo with P. Diddy, other Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy, followed suit. He implied a connection between Burna Boy’s meeting with P. Diddy and his subsequent Grammy win, questioning Burna Boy to explain the coincidence.
In response, Burna Boy filed a petition against Speed Darlington for alleged cyberstalking, leading to Speed’s arrest and detention by the IRT team in Abuja.
Speed Darlington’s mother accused Burna Boy and his team of orchestrating her son’s arrest, and publicly pleaded with Burna Boy to release her son.
