The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has officially established an 18-member caretaker committee in preparation for the forthcoming November 16 governorship election.
This committee, as announced by the party, has been tasked with overseeing and managing PDP activities within the state during the campaign period and throughout the election process.
In a statement released on Monday, August 12, Debo Ologunagba, the national publicity secretary of the party, noted that the caretaker committee was formed in accordance with Section 29 (2) (b) of the party’s Constitution.
Ologunagba further announced that Bakita Bello, a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, has been designated as the committee’s chairman.
During the committee’s inauguration, Kamaru Ajisafe, the South-West National Vice Chairman of the PDP, encouraged all members to strive for a significant triumph for the party in the upcoming November governorship election.
He stated, “We painstakingly look at all the members of the newly inaugurated caretaker committee, and they are going to deliver.”
