The Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi reassured students seeking for better opportunities to travel abroad if they cannot achieve their dreams in Nigeria.
He made this statement during his donation to a University and Nursing School in Anambra State. Obi donated N50 million to Peter University in Achina/Onneh and N10 million to the School of Nursing Sciences in Adazi-Nnukwu.
He noted that those ones that are abroad will come back when Nigeria is fixed. While speaking at College of Nursing Sciences, he said, “If it is not going to work for you here, go to where it will work for you. We will not advise anyone to stay where it is difficult for them.”
“When we build a greater Nigeria, you will come back.”
He went further to share the story of his previous personal assistant, Michael-Jude, who migrated for studies and he is currently living in abroad with his wife that is a nurse.
At Peter University, he advised the students to take their studies serious because education is a transformative force for national development.
He vowed to support institutions with his donation for national development.
