Police Advise Alternative Routes Due To Flood Damage On Borno-Chad-Cameroon Bridge

The Borno State Police Command has issued a warning about the significant damage caused by flash flooding on the Ajeri-Dikwa road and the Dikwa-M/Guri road.

This has led to the disruption of various socio-economic activities and has made crucial routes impassable.

According to the statement released by ASP Nahum Daso, the Police Public Relations Officer, commuters heading from Mafa, Dikwa, Ngala, Marte, Kalbalge, Maiduguri, and individuals from neighboring countries like Cameroon and Chad, are strongly advised to find alternative routes and stay informed about the ongoing situation.

“commuters travelling from Mafa, Dikwa, Ngala, Marte, Kalbalge, Maiduguri, as well as individuals from the neighbouring countries such as cameroon and Chad, are advised to seek alternative routes and remain updated on the situation”

The statement stated that although no casualties have been reported, yet “the command remains dedicated to ensuring public safety and encourages the public to stay informed and monitor updates as the situation progresses.
