Police deploys operatives to the Ministry of Justice

Police have deployed officers to the Ministry of Justice in preparation of the #FreeDeleFarotimi protest.

This is as a result of the upcoming protest in support of Dele Farotimi, the human rights activist and lawyer who was detained for defamatory statements against Chief Afe Babalola.

He was accused of making defamatory statements in his book titled, ‘Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System’.

The protest is organized by Take It Back Movement which aims to call the attention of authorities.

Despite the efforts of the police to stop the movement, they have vowed to proceed with the movement in Abuja, Lagos, Ekiti, London, and Toronto.

The Police Force is already at the major locations in Abuja waiting for the protesters to arrive.
