The national power grid have collapsed the second time in 24 hours.
Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) posted on X that the collapse is as a result of power result across its network.
The post reads, “Dear Valued Customer, Kindly be informed there was a system collapse at 09:17hrs which has resulted to a loss of power supply across our network.”
EKEDC assures the people that they will ensure the issue is resolved with immediate effect.
They posted,“We are currently working with our partners as we hope for speedy restoration of the grid. We will keep you updated as soon as power supply is restored.”
This is the second collapse since Monday, October 14, that caused a widespread of power outage in the nation as a result of the national power grid failure.
The first collapse was around 7pm on Monday with electricity restored in few areas on Tuesday at 5:15am.
Reports had it that the electricity transmission on the national grid dropped from 3,566 megawatts to 0.00 megawatt .
It was because of the collapse that no electricity was distributed to the eleven electricity companies across the country which resulted to the power blackout across Nigeria.
