Rivers should be allowed to select a successor – ADF

The Alaigbo Development Foundation stated that Rivers State should be allowed to select the next president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo .

They noted that every move to fight against it should be opposed because Rivers State has the constitutional rights to appoint the next president to replace late Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.

On Wednesday, in a statement, the president of ADF, Coleman Chukwudelunzu noted that people that are plotting against the constitution of Ohanaeze is the first enemy of the Igbo nation.

He urged the Ohanaeze Ndigbo group to adhere to the constitution during the upcoming election on January 2025.

He complained about how people and other ethnic groups interfered in the decision of Ohanaeze Ndigbo group and how it will no longer be tolerated again.

He said, “Whoever wants to deny our brothers in Rivers State their right to produce the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an enemy of Ndigbo and the Igbo nation. We must resist them.”
