EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Samson Dauda was born on March 11, 1992, in Nigeria and later moved to the US after spending some time in the UK.
His surprising shift from rugby to bodybuilding was inspired by support from his friends in the rugby community.
CAREER
Samson Dauda began his journey in rugby in the UK in 2013, but by 2014, he switched to professional bodybuilding, impressing audiences with his physique at a local competition and marking the start of a promising career in the sport.
Dauda experienced early success, securing a victory in his first amateur competition. Although he faced a setback in 2015, his resolve only strengthened in the years that followed.
A turning point came in 2017 when Dauda achieved 5th place at the Arnold Classic Europe.
This accomplishment motivated him to achieve even more, including a 2nd place finish at the British Championships and two 1st place titles at the Diamond Cup Rome, which earned him his IFBB pro card.
Joining the professional league presented its own set of challenges, but Dauda’s commitment led to a significant achievement when he won the EVLS Prague in late 2021.
The year 2022 was pivotal for building his confidence, marked by his 6th-place finish at Mr. Olympia.

In 2024, Samson Dauda made history by winning the esteemed title of Mr. Olympia 2024, which took place at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. This event was the highlight of the 2024 Olympia weekend.
In a highly competitive field of fifteen elite athletes, Dauda, who currently lives in the United Kingdom, emerged victorious. Hadi Choopan took second place, while the 2023 champion, Derek Lunsford, finished in third.
