Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, also known as Simi, is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress.
She started her musical journey as a gospel artist, releasing her first studio album called Ogaju in 2008. Simi was born and raised in Ojuelegba, Lagos State.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Simi, hails from Ojuelegba, a neighborhood in Surulere, Lagos State, was born as the youngest of four siblings.
In an interview, she revealed that her parents got divorced when she was just nine years old.
Additionally, she shared that she had a tomboyish nature during her childhood.
Simi attended Stars International College in Ikorodu, Lagos State for her secondary education, and later pursued a degree in mass communication at the esteemed Covenant University.
CAREER
Simi started her career as a gospel singer and released her first album, Ogaju, in 2008. In 2022, she was a judge on Nigerian Idol.
She gained popularity in 2014 with the release of her song “Tiff,” which was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies in 2015.
Simi signed with X3M Music in 2014 but left the label when her contract expired in 2019. She released her second album, Simisola, in 2017 and her third album, Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1, in 2019. In 2019, she also established her own record label, Studio Brat.
Simi collaborated with Falz on an EP called Chemistry in 2016. She was nominated for three awards at The Headies in 2016 and won one.
In addition to singing and composing, Simi is also a sound engineer and worked on Adekunle Gold’s album, Gold, in 2016. Her musical style is influenced by rhythm & blues, soul, and hip-hop.
PERSONAL LIFE
Simi and Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold are married. They tied the knot on January 9, 2019, in a private ceremony.
They had been in a relationship for five years before deciding to get married. Simi recently became a mother for the first time, giving birth to her baby Adejare on May 30, 2020.
