“So you can talk too”_Fans slam Saidi Balogun as he laments over the current state of the country; he reacts

Saidi Balogun, a Nollywood actor, has faced backlash from fans after speaking out about Nigeria’s economic struggles.

Naija traffic had earlier reported that he had expressed concern about the country’s economic hardship and questioned the absence of effective price control measures, asking how the government plans to mitigate the effects of inflation.“How do we cushion the effects of inflation?” – Actor Saidi Balogun cries out over economic hardship.

However, his fans have criticized him for his comments, suggesting that he should not have spoken out about the issue. As they pointed out, he was among those who voted for the government.

One Justice Oso questioned if the economic hardship got to his side, too, as he stated that he thought the masses were the only ones suffering.

“Waoooo he don reach una side too? I think say na only we the masses the thing dey affect o”.

Saidi Balogun responded by pointing out that economic hardship affects everyone, regardless of their social status.

He used the analogy of rain, saying that just because he has an umbrella ,a metaphor for his wealth or resources doesn’t mean he’s immune to the effects of the rain ,economic struggles.

“The rain falls on everyone, sir, regardless of status. Because I probably have an umbrella does not mean I don’t see the effect of the rain” he wrote

A fan doubted Saidi Balogun’s sincerity, questioning if he truly cared about Nigeria’s situation, to which the actor responded that he indeed cared, but the fan’s negative mindset prevented him from seeing it.” As if he cares” he wrote.

Saidi expressed hope that God would answer his prayers, implying that he is genuinely concerned about the country’s well-being, despite the fan’s Replying him he wrote:

“Of course, I care. But you would never know that because you already have your mindset. May God answer our prayers”.

Weeks ago, Destiny Etiko and Paulo Okoye praised Nigerians for their resilience and patience in the face of economic hardship.

They noted that despite the challenges, Nigerians remain optimistic and determined, waking up each day with smiles and a willingness to push forward.

Both Etiko and Okoye declared Nigerians the most patient people in the world, with Okoye adding that the government often takes advantage of this patience.
