Stefflon Don, a rapper from British Jamaica, discussed getting back together with Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer.
During an interview with GRM Daily, Stefflon mistakenly thought the interviewer was asking about rekindling her relationship with Burna Boy instead of Jada Kingdom, causing her to find the question amusing.
Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom engaged in a heated exchange following the release of Stefflon Don’s new song, ‘Dat A Dat.’
In the song, Stefflon Don claimed that an unidentified woman had slept with her partner, sparking tension between the two artists.
This incident occurred amidst rumors of Stefflon Don rekindling her relationship with Burna Boy.
Nevertheless, when news of Burna Boy’s supposed relationship with Jada Kingdom emerged, it didn’t take much time for Jada to react to Stefflon Don’s comments.
Addressing their dispute, Stefflon Don expressed her indifference towards Burna Boy and Jada Kingdom’s alleged affair, as she was no longer involved with him.
She clarified that her diss track was not aimed at Jada, emphasizing that they had a cordial relationship despite never being friends.
She said, “We (me and Jada) used to be cool. And the situation that happened (Burna and Jada’s alleged affair), I wasn’t even with him [Burna Boy then]. I don’t even care what he is doing. I didn’t care about that situation. Not a little bit. Jada and I were never friends but we’ve linked once or twice. In the song, I said my man, not my ex. That [Burna Boy] was my ex.”
The interviewer question: “In the future do you see yourselves rekindling at all?”
Stefflon Don answered: “[laughs] You are funny? I don’t know.”
The interviewer: “Cause you are two powerful strong women.”
Stefflon Don said: “Oh! You are talking about me and Jada? I thought you were talking about me and Burna. That’s funny.”
Stefflon and Burna ended their relationship at some point in 2021.
They started dating in 2019 after meeting during a trip to Ghana.
In April 2024, there were rumors suggesting that the couple had reignited their love affair, as Burna Boy supposedly gave Stefflon Don a car as a birthday present.
The pair has neither confirmed nor refuted the reports.
