EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Tay Iwar, who was born in 1997 in Marina and grew up in Lagos and Abuja, was inspired by his brother to start making music when he was 14 years old.
He used FL Studio as his tool and this laid the foundation for his career as a versatile artist.
CAREER
In 2014, Tay Iwar co-founded Bantu Collective with his brother Suté. His early releases, such as his “Passport” mixtape and a SoundCloud cover, gained him recognition and even earned him a nomination for the Nigeria Teens Choice Award.
He has since released projects like the 2016 EP “Renascentia” and the popular 2017 track “Equestrian Love,” which was featured in a TV soundtrack.
