Patrick Doyle, a Nigerian media mogul, has spoken publicly about his divorce from Ireti Doyle, stating that he holds no grudges against her despite the unpleasant outcome of their marriage.
In an interview, he explained a previous social media post praising his mother, sisters, and late wife was not intended to shade Ireti, but rather acknowledge the positive impact those individuals had on his life.
He questioned why people expected him to fondly recall his time with Ireti when it wasn’t pleasant.
Doyle praised Ireti as a devoted mother and provider, commending her for taking good care of their daughter and offering comprehensive care to all her children.
“As she told you, she was happiest with me. If I am not true to myself, then I am an agbaya. My mother, my sisters, and my late wife that isn’t a shade to anybody; they impacted me in a positive way.
When something didn’t make me happy, why should I remember that fondly? The outcome of our marriage wasn’t pleasant. So why should I lie?
We are very cordial now. Ireti is a first-class provider and a mother to her children. She is taking fantastic care of my daughter. How can I wish her ill? As far as mothers go, they don’t come any better. She provides 360 mothering care”.
It seems Patrick Doyle, has moved on from his divorce from actress Ireti Doyle in 2023, after 19 years of marriage.
Ireti announced their divorce on social media, choosing to retain his last name due to her established brand.
Patrick has since married media personality Funmi Iyanda, with whom he tied the knot in December.
He has expressed his happiness with Funmi, praising her as a mother figure, friend, and partner. Patrick has also commended Funmi’s cooking skills, stating that no one has cooked better meals for him since his late mother.
He had previously acknowledged the positive impact of four women in his life: his late mother, sisters, late wife, and new wife, on Mother’s Day.
