Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has ignited a heated online discussion after expressing his frustrations with living in Nigeria, advising his fellow citizens on X to safeguard their passions, as he believes the country can be emotionally exhausting.
“There’s just something about this place that drains your excellence. Striving for it here feels futile, as the environment pulls you down until you become just like everyone else. Whatever you do, guard your passion fiercely, be firm and never settle for less.”
Adekunle Gold’s post resonated with numerous Nigerians, who flooded his comment section with their thoughts and personal stories of struggling to cope and thrive in the country.
